The Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed, patient-centered nursing care. The Registered Nurse assesses patients upon admission; plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; administers medications; and evaluates and documents patients status and progress. The Registered Nurse also supervises LPNs, Patient Care Techs, and other team members as assigned.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and document patient status and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Plan, implement, and assess patient care plans.
- Supervise LPNs, patient care techs, and other team members as assigned.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
- Registered Nurse license from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required depending on the unit.
