The position of Program Specialist is responsible for direct program and administrative support of the Mobile Harvest. Mobile Harvest is targeted to address hunger and nutrition in underserved locations.

With an emphasis on fresh produce, this food distribution program improves access to healthy foods for residents throughout our service area. The Program Specialist plays an active role in supporting this program.

• Achieve Serve Safe Manager Food Safety Certification (within 6 months from date of hire).
• Achieve CPR Certification (within 6 months from date of hire)
• CERES and Meal Connect software proficiency (within 9 months from date of hire)
• Valid Nevada driver’s license and proof of insurance.

• Bi-Lingual / Bi-literate in Spanish. (Can speak, read and write in Spanish proficiently)
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in an office, administrative, program support, nonprofit, public service, or similarly regulated environment.
• Experience working with data, reports, documentation, or compliance-related processes requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service or relationship management experience.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and web-based tools such as email, virtual meeting platforms, and online systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Food Bank of Northern Nevada service area.

• 2-4 years non-profit experience, including volunteer experience.
• Experience supporting nonprofit, government-funded, or compliance-driven programs.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and prepare reports for internal or external stakeholders.
• Experience working with customers, or community organizations.
• Familiarity with inventory, case management, or program tracking systems.

• Responsible for supporting all Mobile Harvest food distributions throughout service area.
• This position is responsible for performing skilled computer duties with high attention to detail.
• Ability to learn Oasis Insights to provide client intakes.
• Timely completion of data entry for all daily distributions.
