Eufaula Fresh Plant Maintenance – 3rd Shift

3rd Shift Maintenance Generalist at the Eufaula Fresh Plant. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets; ensure a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair of mechanical malfunctions.
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
• Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
• Comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Diagnose and complete repairs without supervision.
• Start all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
• Assist other mechanics as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
• Work in varying temperatures and humidity; environment may be dusty, warm, cold, or humid.
• Maintain physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and climbing ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
• Lifting up to 70 lbs may be required depending on department.
• Wear safety toe boots that can withstand 75 lbs at all times.

• 2 years of prior industrial maintenance experience, experience with Tyson maintenance department, or education in industrial maintenance (diploma or active enrollment in technical school) in lieu of experience.
• Previous poultry processing experience preferred.
