Hours & Pay
  • Pay Rate: $17.54 per hour
  • Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Schedule: 8‑hour shifts with overtime as needed
About the Role

The Die Maintenance Technician I supports daily operations within the Die Maintenance Department by ensuring dies are properly cleaned, maintained, and ready for production. This role works closely with a team of skilled technicians and provides exposure to tooling, welding, cranes, and preventive maintenance processes in a temperature‑controlled manufacturing environment.

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety, quality, and work procedures related to chemicals and operating equipment
  • Clean scheduled dies using dry ice cleaning procedures and equipment
  • Transport dies to and from presses and storage areas using overhead and gantry cranes
  • Perform minor die repairs, including grinding, welding, and spotting
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain die components
  • Track preventive maintenance activities accurately using maintenance logs
  • Exchange, store, and secure gas cylinders according to safety standards
  • Assist with die maintenance calls on production lines
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the die maintenance storage cage and materials
  • Complete TPM assignments, cross‑training, and other duties as assigned
  • Work collaboratively with the team and maintain reliable attendance
  • Support overtime, weekend work, and job or shift rotation as required
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Entry‑level position; training provided
  • Two‑year degree in machining or tooling technology or completion of an apprenticeship program preferred (experience may be considered under a controlled training program)
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
  • Ability to lift, stand, and remain on one’s feet for the duration of the shift
  • Willingness to complete and maintain overhead crane certification
  • Ability to work in a team‑based, production‑focused environment
Work Environment

This role operates in a typical manufacturing and die maintenance setting that is generally temperature‑controlled year‑round. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE, including uniforms, safety shoes, and additional protective equipment as needed for specific tasks. The position involves standing, walking, handling tools, and working around production equipment.
