The Marzetti Company (Nasdaq: MZTI) manufactures and sells specialty food products. Our retail brands include Marzetti® dressings and dips, New York Bakery™ garlic breads, and Sister Schubert’s® dinner rolls, in addition to exclusive license agreements for Olive Garden® dressings, Chick-fil-A® sauces and dressings, Buffalo Wild Wings® sauces, Arby’s® sauces, Subway® sauces, and Texas Roadhouse® steak sauces and frozen rolls. This person directs quick and efficient changeovers both on machines and new product changes. Programs, sets up, troubleshoots, and maintains all packaging equipment. Directs packers on how to pack the product most efficiently.

• Sets up the machine before the shift begins.
• Changes packaging materials as needed; ensures packaging materials are correct and positioned correctly in the machine.
• Communicates all necessary information to the oncoming shift machine operators.
• Monitors and adjusts weight control of packaged units.
• Records all lot information as required.
• Maintains standard production quantities/rates for each product.
• Ensures codes are accurate and in the correct format.
• Maintains company standards for cleanliness, food safety, and productivity in the packaging area.
• Replenishes packaging supplies such as film, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
• Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions; makes minor adjustments/repairs; communicates mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
• Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA, and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards.
• Strives to be a safety solutions leader by maintaining the 200% for safety mindset. Participates in engagement activities, completes required safety training, and aids in identifying hazards utilizing BBS and Safety Monitor programs.
• Participates in activities related to Marzetti Operational Excellence.
