This role is for 2nd Shift.
Essential FunctionsA Production Material Puller is responsible for retrieving, staging, and delivering raw materials, components, and supplies from warehouse storage to designated production areas based on work orders or production schedules. This role ensures that the correct materials are available at the right time and location to support continuous manufacturing operations.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance policies.
- Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Pull materials according to production work orders, bills of materials, or pick lists.
- Transport materials safely to production lines or staging areas using manual or powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts, forklifts if certified).
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and lot numbers to ensure accuracy.
- Label and record materials as needed, maintaining traceability and inventory accuracy.
- Communicate with inventory control, warehouse, and production teams to address shortages, substitutions, or priority needs.
- Assist with restocking, cycle counts, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in material storage areas.
- Follow all safety and handling procedures, including proper use of PPE and material handling protocols.
- Operate company computer system related to work order updating.
- Operate fork truck.
- Maintain required quantity and quality levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience operating a forklift is preferred.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred.
- Basic math and mechanical skills aptitude.
- Strong customer‑focus.
- Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
- Ability to adjust to changes without compromising quality or performance.
- Moderate communication skills with the ability to work cooperatively with other departments/functions.
- Must be able to work a shift schedule and mandatory overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Flexible approach to work, with the ability to multi‑task.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
- Moderate physical effort handling parts.
- Ability to frequently exert average effort.
- Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, saws, and trucks.
- Able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs repetitively.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, and lift.
- Manufacturing warehouse environment with multi‑step process production runs on different machines.
- High‑value highly customized components, long and large parts, and high‑precision manufacturing for critical service applications.
- Noise level: moderate to high.
- Temperature variable with season.
