Position Summary
Hydraulic Specialist is responsible for servicing and repairing hydraulic systems while working independently and as part of a team. This role requires the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and repair hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and related products. The Hydraulic Specialist must successfully complete extensive on‑the‑job training, classroom instruction, and e‑learning as part of the technician training program. Successful candidates demonstrate initiative, strong teamwork, a commitment to customer service, and a dedication to providing efficient, effective solutions.
EssentialResponsibilities & Expectations
- Plan and perform minor repairs using correct tools and established procedures
- Order and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform basic work on components within the assigned work area, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and electrical components, such as:
- Removal and installation
- Disassembly and reassembly
- Minor adjustments
- Perform component rebuilds in accordance with factory guidelines
- Demonstrate proper use of service information systems
- Assist experienced Technicians during field service assignments, as required
- Adhere to and comply with all applicable safety standards and procedures
- Work independently in the field as required

QualificationsMinimum Education
High school diploma or the equivalent required.
Minimum Experience- A minimum of one (1) year work experience involving mechanical repairs or a combination of relevant experience and equivalent technical education is required.
- Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required.
- Intermediate skills in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and related electrical components
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Area‑specific technical training
- Required OSHA and MSHA safety training
- Training on vendor technical platforms (e.g., Infocast, Liftnet, SIMSi)
Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in a Service Department shop or at customer job sites. This position involves exposure to physical risks and all weather conditions. The role frequently requires standing on hard surfaces for extended periods.
