Mobile Equipment Operator

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa Subsidiary is hiring for a mobile equipment operator for our plant located in Gadsden, AL. As a mobile equipment operator at Meyer Utility Structures, you'll perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, storing, and/ or shipping raw materials/finished goods. You'll operate mobile equipment (heavy equipment, forklift, cranes, yard vehicle, lift truck) to move materials/products between warehouse/manufacturing facilities.

What you'll do:

* Operate a lift truck to move palletized loads from  pounds.

* Operate an overhead crane on a production line.

* May operate mobile crane (move across yard).

* May operate scissor lift.

* Ensure proper identification of parts and materials.

* Follow all safety rules and practices.

* May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

* A minimum of 1 year of experience operating large forklifts or yard trucks.

* Previous experience with shipping and receiving is required.

* Previous experience with bills of lading a plus.

* The ability to operate a lift truck to move palletized loads up to 15000 pounds.

* The ability to perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, and/or shipping raw materials/finished goods.

* Good organizational and time management skills.

* The ability to work required overtime during the week or on weekends.

* The ability to maintain good attendance.
