Job Summary

As an MRO Crib Attendant, you will be a self‑starter and team player, ensuring all daily duties are completed on schedule. You will also assist with additional tasks and projects as directed by your manager and the MRO/Purchasing team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all Gestamp employee policies, including attendance, punctuality, and conduct.
  • Clock in and out at shift start and end; report any leave from facility property.
  • Follow scheduled breaks and lunch times; wear approved uniforms and attire.
  • Prepare and supply material to support Maintenance, Repair and Operations within the MRO crib area.
  • Lead item additions, material changes, and obsoleting processes, including taking photos, attaching in SAP, and assigning/unassigning bin locations.
  • Examine shipment contents against manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy; correspond with buyers or vendors to resolve issues.
  • Receive and process all shipments and goods at McCalla Plant I & II into Gestamp systems.
  • Prepare goods for storage and maintain accurate inventory counts using SAP transactions.
  • Perform all aspects of reservations, including running reports and issuing.
  • Work with MRO Crib Buyer and purchasing team on procurement and expediting products.
  • Proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP; willing to learn other programs.
  • Track and dispose of material with expired shelf life or low movement in SAP and physically.
  • Perform daily cycle counting and reconcile discrepancies with SAP transactions.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis of inventory inaccuracies and resolve issues following standard practices.
  • Provide training to personnel per the departmental training matrix.
  • Facilitate the repair process of capital assets requiring repair.
  • Run weekly reports for stock‑out material in the MRO crib and follow up on delinquent items.
  • Assist internal customers at the MRO window by issuing materials using SAP.
  • Perform daily 5S organization and cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Operate a forklift to move and organize inventory;
    Gestamp forklift certification required.
  • Work any shift, including overtime and weekends as required, sometimes on short notice.
  • Demonstrate a positive, productive team environment and assist other departments as needed.
  • Take on special projects and provide support in materials, stock audits, and system accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal customers, politely and expediently.
  • Clean up trash and maintain a tidy work area during daily tasks.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of manufacturing experience in material handling and/or warehousing.
  • Prior forklift/material handling experience and Gestamp‑certified forklift operator.
  • Experience using SAP for goods receiving and inventory management preferred.
Knowledge,

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and material flow.
  • Proficient PC skills, including computer terminals and barcode scanning devices.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong math and reading skills.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of shipping and receiving operations.
  • Excellent safety, attendance, and performance record.
  • Strong work ethic with a drive for excellence.
Physical and Mental Requirements of the Position
