EMCOR Group, Inc. and its subsidiary Shambaugh & Son L.P. are a leading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction contractor. We specialize in new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio‑fuel projects across the United States. Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a Welder in our Fire Fabrication shop. In this position, you will use a universal welder to make cuts and welds on steel pipe and work with a semi‑automatic welding machine in various positions.

• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Take measurements to plan layouts.
• Set up welding machine according to specifications.
• Weld components using semi‑automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Test all machine welds to ensure quality.
• Weld by hand any leaks found during quality penetration die test.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 4 plus years of welding experience.
• Read a tape measure.
• Pipe welding and welding certificates a plus.
• Be dependable.
• Good attendance and a positive attitude are critical for this position.
• Good work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Must be able to communicate ideas, thoughts, etc. both verbally and in written form.
• Must be able to work Saturday (will count against attendance record if missed).Must be 18 years or older.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate with others.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8‑12 hour shifts.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
