Executive Director

Main Street Atmore is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven

Executive Director
to lead and manage the organization’s programs, partnerships, and day-to-day operations. The Executive Director serves as the primary leader, advocate, and administrator for Main Street Atmore, working closely with the Board of Directors, city partners, local businesses, and the community to advance downtown revitalization and economic development.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills who is passionate about community development and historic downtowns.

• Serve as the chief executive and primary spokesperson for Main Street Atmore
• Implement the organization’s mission, strategic plan, and annual work plan
• Oversee daily operations, programs, and initiatives

• Work closely with the Board of Directors to support governance, planning, and policy implementation
• Prepare reports, agendas, and materials for board and committee meetings
• Support board development, recruitment, and engagement

• Plan, coordinate, and execute downtown revitalization programs, events, and initiatives
• Support business retention, recruitment, and member engagement
• Manage program timelines, deliverables, and outcomes
• Develop and manage the annual budget in coordination with the Board
• Oversee financial reporting, grants, sponsor ships, and membership revenue
• Lead fundraising efforts including grants, sponsor ships, donations, and events

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, property owners, city officials, and community stakeholders
• Represent Main Street Atmore at meetings, events, and regional or state-wide programs
• Collaborate with partner organizations to advance shared goals
