ROLE

We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Operations Manager to support the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Career College (USAWOCC) at Fort Novosel, Alabama. In this role, you will manage day-to-day IT support for USAWOCC by overseeing service desk operations, user access and account support, IT asset and lifecycle management, and classroom technology readiness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide project planning expertise
  • Develop project schedules and break down tasks into actionable work packages
  • Identify project requirements and confirm scope with stakeholders
  • Track issues, problems, and risks and drive timely resolution
  • Manage the S6 Trouble Ticket Portal and Helpdesk, and close all tickets within 72 hours
  • Deliver secure technical assistance by phone and in person per DA and Fort Novosel NEC policy
  • Manage all Department of Defense (DoD) Mobility Unclassified Capability (DMUC) devices for USAWOCC
  • Administer Army
    365 licenses and accounts for USAWOCC users
  • Manage the Account Validation System for Cadre and Students
  • Complete DD Form 2875 requests and upload completion status to the WOCC Training Tracker in Share Point
  • Administer Active Directory (AD) for Cadre and Students (e.g., user and computer accounts)
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of automation equipment, configurations, and locations
  • Manage USAWOCC’s annual Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) and execute purchases through CHESS
  • Manage all 26 USAWOCC classrooms and sustain instructional technology readiness
  • Troubleshoot audiovisual systems and coordinate replacements with the Fort Novosel ECP representative
  • Manage equipment warranties and coordinate repairs to restore service quickly
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 12 years of experience as an Information Technology/ Project manager
  • Experience with Windows group permissions, printer troubleshooting, computer hardware/software repair, Active Directory account creation, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with writing and troubleshooting Power Shell scripts for Windows
    11 and Office 365
  • Experience with managing Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) and warranty management
EDUCATION
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related technical field required
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred

Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 100% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc.

Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 100% of the time.
