Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• System Management:
  Install, configure, and maintain servers and systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Troubleshooting:
  Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
• Security & Backup:
  Implement and maintain security protocols and data backups. Ensure systems are secure from unauthorized access and data loss.
• Monitoring & Performance Optimization:
  Regularly monitor systems and servers for issues, and proactively improve their performance and efficiency.
• Updates & Patching:
  Install and configure system updates and security patches to keep all systems current and secure.
• Documentation:
  Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with other IT team members, developers, and project managers to implement new technologies and solutions.
• Disaster Recovery:
  Help develop, implement, and test disaster recovery procedures and business continuity plans.

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), network protocols, and server management.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools and performance tuning.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with both hardware and software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
• Knowledge of Power Shell scripting.
• Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery systems.
• Familiarity with database administration.

• Full-time position with occasional after-hours support required.
• May require some on-call support during nights and weekends for critical system issues.
• May require some travel to production facilities.
