ICF/IID Activity Assistant at Rainbow Omega (ROI)

Department: Intermediate Care Facilities
Supervisor: ICF/IID Program Director
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary
Assists in operation of ICF/IID by performing the following duties.
Duties
Provides assistance with residents’ scheduled activities.
Helps to instruct/assist residents with engaging in specific activities as referred to in each resident’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) and as described in the Activities Binder.
Prepares reports required to document Individual Program Plan (IPP) or behavior support plan.

Prepares reports as required by licensing entities.

Knows each person personally in order to serve his or her individual needs.

Assists with implementing the activity portions of active care plans for each ICF/IID Resident as directed.

Plans & delivers fun, safe, and engaging activities for the residents each day of the week to include weekends. (games, crafts, exercise, music, etc.)

Operates office equipment such computer, printer, and copier.

Develop and display thematic/holiday decorations throughout the facility.

Transports ICF/IID residents to and from on campus and off campus activities in vans.
Shops for and with residents in the local community.
Transports residents to and from medical and personal appointments.
Submits request for supplies to ICF Program Coordinator.
Keeps the ICF/IID Program Director and ICF/IID Program Coordinator informed of any complaints, incidents or issues involving ICF/IID resident care, staff relations, or quality of service.
Fills in as a resident aide when there is a need.
Participates in appropriate ICF/IID and ROI meetings and/or committees, as requested.
Performs such other duties as assigned by the ICF/IID Program Director and ICF/IID Program Coordinator.
