* Providing support to the investment team on asset allocation, portfolio construction, tactical trading strategies, bonds, mutual fund and ETFs selection, and trade execution.
* Perform analysis and implement investment strategies from the Absa Wealth Open architecture platform which will include the following asset classes/Legal structures:
Mutual Funds, ETF, Public Equities, Money Markets, Global Fixed Income, Structured Products, Alternative Investments (Private Equity/Debt, Real Estate, Funds of Hedge Funds), Liquid Alternatives, Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS), Multi-Asset Strategies
* Assistance in designing investment guidelines for discretionary mandates.
* Analyzing Macro, Geopolitical, Market events and its impact of client portfolios.
* Analyzing large set of data from Bloomberg and other public databases
* Analyzing and monitoring portfolio risks, performance.
* Provide assistance in delivering client reports and client inquires on investment strategies.
* Researching new product ideas and investment strategies based on client risk tolerance, investment horizon and liquidity requirements.
* Working closely with the technology team to enhance our portfolio management systems and infrastructure.
* Prepare investment reports, newsletter, client pitch books and marketing materials.
* Ensure client receive Investment reports in line with service level agreement.
* Provide regular update to client with respect to their Investment Portfolio.
* Develop innovative strategies to outperform client’s benchmark.
* Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Policies and Policy Standards.
* Understand and manage risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role
- Min 3 year of experience in financial markets and dealing with investment clients.
- Professional Presentation Skills including excellent technical writing skills
- Strong Persuasive & Relationship building skills
