Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical expertise and engineering support for equipment and system improvements in a heavy industrial environment. This role partners closely with maintenance, production, and management teams to enhance reliability, safety, and performance while supporting business objectives at the client site. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and consulting to management and operations in electrical engineering disciplines.
- Support maintenance and production personnel in the implementation of equipment and system improvements.
- Apply knowledge of power systems, NEC, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards.
- Design, review, and develop P&IDs and electrical documentation.
- Support the design, commissioning, and start-up of AC drive systems.
- Assist with commissioning and start-up activities for new or modified equipment.
- Optimize equipment quality, cost, availability, and performance through engineering best practices.
- Prepare, analyze, and present technical reports by collecting and summarizing data, trends, and findings.
- Provide regular project and technical updates to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate third-party engineering services from scope definition through project closeout.
- Ensure new deployments integrate seamlessly with existing processes and systems.
- Anticipate and adopt innovative digital tools and technologies that support business growth.
- Collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and construction trades.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
- Observe safety requirements, review accident/incident reports, and assist in investigations as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Solid understanding of commissioning and start-up activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration (highly preferred, not required).
- Experience supporting large‑scale industrial facilities or heavy manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with third‑party engineering coordination and project execution.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively toward shared objectives.
- Proven ability to manage priorities efficiently and drive continuous improvement.
- Safety‑focused mindset with attention to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
