Under general supervision this position plans and implements the Assembly Shop equipment changes necessary to accommodate changes to processes, product, or build scenarios. This position will perform the necessary feasibility analysis, execute project justifications, and plan projects from concept through handover to operations.

• Support engineering change coordination meetings as required
• Perform engineering change and cost feasibility analysis for potential projects
• Create business justifications for potential projects using inputs from the organization
• Create new equipment concepts, specifications and layouts including updates to the line infrastructure as needed
• Ensure plant training needs are met in specifications
• Create initial milestones for the project and estimated project costs
• Create production startup support plan
• Coordinate design reviews with the project stakeholders to include all project aspects
• Coordinate with IPS to define supplier list
• Receive and compare quotations from potential suppliers in conjunction with IPS
• Create Purchase Requisition s
• Work with IPS on awarding process, including justifications
• Define buyoff documentation package required

• Work with management and internal stakeholders to develop strategy and goals with series and future product needs in mind
• Present and coordinate cross-functional group bottom-up and top-down alignment on strategy and project status, sharing milestones, challenges, and chances
• Leading Vision within the Assembly Shop and working together with global Mercedes-Benz strategy to keep the path forward for the plant in line with our global strategy

• Lead supplier kickoff with all stakeholders
• Coordinate design reviews with the project stakeholders
• Provide shipping approval by inspecting the equipment at the supplier’s site
• Provide project management for the installation of new equipment
• Plan, monitor and control Project schedule, Project costs, Project Risks, Project…
