As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our production running smoothly while driving innovation. Our ideal candidate will be active on the shop floor. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate – Work closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to enhance operations and solve challenges together.
• Take Responsibility – Own the design, implementation, and optimization of mechanical systems that improve efficiency and reliability.
• Drive Growth – Identify and integrate new technologies, streamline processes, and develop solutions that support both personal and company growth.
• Designing & Implementing mechanical systems for veneer and plywood production
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving mechanical issues on the production floor
• Implementing Preventative Maintenance strategies to enhance reliability
• Ensuring Compliance with safety and environmental regulations

• At least 5 years Mechanical Engineering or related field experience
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments (wood products experience a plus!)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, automation, and preventative maintenance
• Hands-on approach with a knack for troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Passion for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in all tasks
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues
