About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our manufacturing processes and ensure operational efficiency. In this role, you will focus on improving CNC programs, optimizing tooling selection, and implementing lean manufacturing principles. Your expertise in mechanical engineering and CNC programming will be crucial in driving cost-effective solutions and enhancing safety protocols.
Responsibilities- Refine CNC programs for lathes, VMCs, and HMCs to boost machining efficiency and precision.
- Select optimal CNC tooling to enhance machining performance and reduce downtime.
- Design and implement effective work holding and fixture solutions to improve manufacturing accuracy and repeatability.
- Apply lean manufacturing methodologies to streamline production processes and eliminate waste.
- Engineer solutions to eliminate safety hazards, ensuring a secure working environment.
- Drive cost reductions in manufacturing through innovative process design and optimization.
- Create comprehensive training documentation to support workforce development and standardization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years of CNC programming experience.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and machine design principles.
- 5+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software (CREO preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
