DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will participate as a member of the Arcelor Mittal NOES Project Team as the Operations Process Engineer for the Annealing and Pickling line. This candidate will join a project team launching the 600,000+ square foot facility, participate in design reviews, assess equipment quality, assist with the development of commissioning plans, and transition to a critical member of the Operating Team.

As a member of the Operating Team, the ideal candidate will develop and maintaineffectivetechnology, lead projects to optimize process and product capabilities, and improve quality, productivity, and cost (yield) within the highly automated APL area of the NOES Mill.

The Basics:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering:
  Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Materials (or sufficient experience to demonstrate the command of the subject matter)
• Sufficient experience in the components that make up the APL: both natural gas and electric soaking furnaces, pickling, in a continuous steel processing operation
• Knowledge of steel strip properties and applications
• Demonstrated problem solving acumen
• Demonstrated understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and process models
• Strong work ethic that enables working through obstacles that are common in a green field project
