$8.25 per hour (Max 26 hours per week). Work up to two days a week in figure drawing classes for 3-hour increments.

Position Summary: The University Student Assistant/Art Model position will allow you to obtain work experience in the Figure Drawing/Painting classes as a model. The role requires modeling a variety of poses sustained over varying periods, maintaining a professional attitude and appearance, being patient and discreet. Duties include sitting and standing in a pose for a period of time so that students can draw you.

Additional duties may be required by the department as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sit or stand still for a period of time so that students can draw you.
• Maintain the ability to hold a pose for at least 15 minutes.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
• Exercise patience and discretion.
• Be agile.
• Be comfortable posing for longer periods.
• Work cooperatively with a diverse body of faculty, staff, and students.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled as a Jax State student taking at least 3 credit hours per fall or spring semester. International students must meet additional requirements (see below).
• Non‑first‑time students must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher.
• Provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or My Jax State  enrollment/GPA printout).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous modeling experience preferred but not required (training provided).
