Non‑Exempt. Employment term: 10‑Month. Salary range: $18.00‑$30.00 per hour plus district benefit package.

The special education paraprofessional supports students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and teachers in delivering instruction and collecting data for tasks and assessments. The role supervises and monitors students in small‑group settings and during transitional activities. The paraprofessional works directly with one student to provide physical, behavioral, and academic support based on the IEP.
Position Responsibilities- Performs duties under the direction of the special education teacher and team
- Supports instructional tasks with individual and small groups in both special education and general education classrooms
- Supervises students with IEPs in various settings and locations
- Provides reinforcement for academic and behavioral skills
- Assists in collecting data on students’ progress
- Supports developmentally appropriate life‑skills activities
- Assists with fine‑motor functions, movement, positioning, etc.>
- May perform toileting, diapering, and feeding functions
- May assist with occupational and physical therapy services
- May supervise students during school transportation
- May participate in multidisciplinary meetings or IEP meetings as requested
- Participates in professional development and training required by the district
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or higher
- Two years of verifiable college coursework (48 semester hours) or the ability to pass the Work Keys proficiency test
- Valid Colorado driver’s license
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within two months of hire
- CPR and First Aid certification within two months of hire
- Experience with young children through education coursework or demonstrated ability
