Lead CSR (Veterinary Front Desk Lead) — Idexx Cornerstone Knowledge Preferred
Lee’s Veterinary Hospital — Cullman, AL
Full-time | Monday–Friday + rotating Saturdays (clinic schedule and based on needs - weekends not required)
We’re looking for a Lead Client Service Representative (Lead CSR) who can run a tight front desk—phones, scheduling, checkout, client communication—while coaching the CSR team and keeping the day moving.
This role matters because it allows our talented current lead with twenty years of experience to shift into more Practice Manager-level work that only she can do. In other words: this isn’t “just reception.” You’ll be a key operator in the building.
- You have worked as a receptionist/CSR in a veterinary clinic before.
- You’re confident on phones and can multitask in a busy lobby.
- You can lead people (coach, correct, keep standards consistent—without drama).
- Cornerstone experience is strongly preferred (almost a must).
- If you haven’t used Cornerstone but you’ve mastered another vet PIMS (AVImark/ezyVet/Impulse/etc.), tell us what you used and how fast you learned it.
- Run scheduling, triage incoming calls, and protect appointment flow
- Keep check-in/check-out smooth, accurate, and friendly—even when it’s hectic
- Handle payments, estimates, invoicing, and client follow-ups with clarity and confidence
- Reduce “dropped balls” by building systems (templates, scripts, checklists)
- Set the tone for the CSR team: calm, organized, accountable
- Train new CSRs and keep everyone consistent on standards
- Spot bottlenecks and fix them before they become fires
- Partner with doctors/techs to keep communication clean and patient flow moving
- Maintain clean medical/client records and communication logs
- Use Cornerstone (or learn it quickly) to keep the clinic organized and compliant
- Someone who hasn’t worked in a veterinary clinic front desk role before
- Someone who melts down when the phones ring + lobby fills up
- Someone who “avoids conflict” by letting standards slide
(Kindness matters here. So does backbone.)
What we’re looking for (the personality fit)- You communicate clearly and don’t take client stress personally
- You can switch gears fast and still be accurate
- You see problems, propose fixes, and help implement them
Competitive pay based on experience (especially veterinary clinic + Cornerstone + leadership). Benefits and schedule details discussed during the interview. At Lee’s Veterinary Hospital, we reward consistent performance—team members who meet and exceed expectations earn raises and performance bonuses. We’re building a top-tier front desk team with high standards and strong support, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow into a long-term leadership role.
