Asphalt Plant Front End Loader Operator – Vance, AL

This is a skilled position that involves the safe and efficient operation of various types of construction equipment. Candidates must have at least two years of experience operating a loader on road construction projects, in a quarry, or an asphalt plant.
Responsibilities- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain safe slopes on excavations and ensure proper barricading.
- Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
- Apply knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
- Keep time and material records.
- Know aggregate sizes and classifications.
- Understand weight requirements for loads leaving the pit.
- Travel from interstate highways to rural dirt roads at various locations.
- Lift up to 30 pounds and execute required physical tasks such as walking, stooping, squatting, sitting, and kneeling.
- Understand and apply basic math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
- Read tape measures and perform basic measurements.
- Have knowledge of equipment and their uses.
- Minimum of two years of loader operation experience on road construction projects, in a quarry, or an asphalt plant.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of trenching and shoring standards.
- Physical capability to lift up to 30 pounds, and perform required movements such as walking, stooping, squatting, sitting, and kneeling.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Knowledge of aggregate sizes, classifications, weight requirements, and equipment uses.
- Experience keeping accurate time and material records.
