DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will provide analytical and other administrative support to the Procurement organization to meet the business goals of Arcelor Mittal Calvert.

The Basics:

• Some college coursework completed, Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)

The Extras:

• Purchasing experience desired
• Working knowledge of SAP system, in particular SAP-MM module
• Material Management and Inventory Management knowledge
• Steel Industry Goods/Parts experience

• Understand and apply all policies and procedures
• Perform analysis and reporting of key procurement activities as requirements are determined
• Collect, analyze, and summarize large volumes of data in a format that is meaningful and useful to the business organization
• Monitor status of expected delivery dates vs the requirement dates and take the necessary action to ensure mill requirements are met
• Monitor blocked invoices for missing goods receipts and work with suppliers, buyers, and end users to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, and to address root cause of repetitive discrepancies
• Assist with supplier qualification and evaluation process
• Recognize non-conformities with supply base, and work with Purchasing, Central Receiving, etc. to resolve
• Assist with identifying understock/overstock inventory, expediting when necessary or coordinating returns to vendor when prudent. Monitor stock levels to determine at risk inventory situations and inform the appropriate contacts in Purchasing and the mills when actions are needed
