Sr. Internal Auditor

Talascend is currently seeking a Sr. Internal Auditor for a full-time, direct career opportunity with our Manufacturing client in Mobile, AL.

This role offers relocation support to non-local candidates as well as a hybrid work schedule (WFH two days/week).

Overview
The Sr. Internal Auditor will join our client's Global Assurance team to perform audits across key operational areas.

This role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively, supporting the development of audit strategies and ensuring compliance with professional audit standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits as per the approved audit plan, following company methodologies and IIA standards.
• Manage significant portions of audits, from planning to completion, under the supervision of the audit lead, including risk assessment and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Lead audit projects when needed, with close oversight.
• Support the design, improvement, and execution of the annual SOx compliance program, ensuring alignment with PCAOB standards.
• Handle critical aspects of the compliance plan, including risk assessments, control design, and deficiency remediation.
• Participate in special projects and assignments as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of internal audit experience, preferably in a large manufacturing company, or statutory audit experience with a Big 4 firm.
• Professional qualifications (e.g., Chartered Accountant, CIA, CISA) are an advantage.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analytical tools.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings.
