- Demonstrates care and concern towards fellow workers, members of the team, and the community, and demonstrates a servant's attitude at all times.
- Endorses and displays support of BMFA's mission, vision, values, team culture, and operating principles.
- The staff accountant will perform general accounting work, including month-end closing procedures, reconciling general ledger accounts, and variance reporting.
- Day-to-day accounting functions including receiving Purchase Orders, processing AP, billing customers, reconciling WIP and General Ledger accounts, and maintaining records.
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
- Quick Books experience is a plus
- Ability to retain and source job-specific information
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance (preferred)
- A minimum of three years of general accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Asset Capitalization Policy adherence
- Preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing and reconciling expense and revenue accounts.
- General understanding of best practices for receivable tracking, fixed asset allocation, and internal asset reporting.
- Performing all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Assist with special projects as requested by the VP of Finance and the Senior Accounting Team.
- Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
