Basic Personal Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates care and concern towards fellow workers, members of the team, and the community, and demonstrates a servant's attitude at all times.

Job Summary
  • The staff accountant will perform general accounting work, including month-end closing procedures, reconciling general ledger accounts, and variance reporting.
  • Day-to-day accounting functions including receiving Purchase Orders, processing AP, billing customers, reconciling WIP and General Ledger accounts, and maintaining records.
Skills Required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
  • Quick Books experience is a plus
  • Ability to retain and source job-specific information
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance (preferred)
Experience
  • A minimum of three years of general accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Functions
  • Asset Capitalization Policy adherence
  • Preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing and reconciling expense and revenue accounts.
  • General understanding of best practices for receivable tracking, fixed asset allocation, and internal asset reporting.
  • Performing all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Assist with special projects as requested by the VP of Finance and the Senior Accounting Team.
  • Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
