QA/QC Inspector (Marine)
- Carry out fit‑up visual inspection and dimensional confirmation as per approved drawings and submit the report.
- Perform NDT (MPI, DPT, UT, RT) as per project requirements and submit the report.
- Carry out ultrasonic thickness gauging inspection and prepare the report as per class requirements using AutoCAD drawing methods and thickness measurement software of the respective class.
- Witness pressure testing and vacuum testing as per project requirements and issue the certificate.
- Work in liaison with client contacts for the scheduled QA/QC surveillance activities.
- Work in liaison with class societies and third‑party inspection agencies for conduction inspection and surveys and other scheduled quality assurance activities.
- Perform testing/inspection/measurement activities in mechanical and machine shop jobs including trueness shaft alignment, bearing alignment, etc.
- Perform paint material incoming inspection, blasting, and painting final inspection.
- Monitor adherence to procedures by respective production >=teams.
- Ensure proper welding consumable control, material handling, identification, traceability, and calibration, etc.
- Investigate and conduct root cause analysis for NCR/customer complaints and other non‑conformities.
- Maintain QA/QC documents and records in accordance with document control procedures.
- Perform incoming material inspection and prepare report.
- Prepare welding and NDT traceability master trackers (if required).
- Ensure all QA/QC inspection instruments are calibrated and register is maintained.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures at work.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy.
- Minimum 3 years of experience XL Marine/Oil & Gas/Petrochemical with GCC experience preferred.
- Certifications:
CSWIP 3.1 / AWS‑CWI certificates. - Certified ASNT Level II in RT, UT, PT, MT.
- Having NACE Level II / BGAS Gr. 2 certificates will be an added advantage.
- ISO 9001:2015 QMS Training certificates will be an added advantage.
