Senior Mechanical Engineer

A highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC Plumbing Drainage Fire Fighting and Irrigation systems to lead design review and supervision for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local and international standards optimize system efficiency and oversee site execution while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Design & Engineering:

• Design and develop HVAC Plumbing Drainage Fire Protection (Fire Fighting) and Irrigation systems for commercial residential and industrial projects.
• Prepare technical drawings specifications calculations and BOQs using AutoCAD Revit HAP Pipe Flow and other relevant software.
• Develop scope of work for design-build tenders including technical specifications BOQs and tender drawings.
• Prepare concept and detailed designs for mechanical systems (HVAC plumbing drainage firefighting BMS).
• Present and review Basis of Design (BOD) concept and detailed designs for tenders.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE IPC NFPA UPC and local regulations (QCDD Civil Defense etc.).
• Conduct load calculations hydraulic analysis and energy efficiency optimization for plumbing systems.
• Review and approve shop drawings material submittals and method statements.

• Review and prepare tender evaluation reports.
• Check submittals drawings and contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise on-site installation testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Conduct inspections quality control and snagging to ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
• Resolve technical issues and provide solutions during construction.
• Liaise with clients contractors architects and MEP teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project schedules budgets and resource allocation

Experience Required: 10 years in mechanical engineering design and supervision (HVAC Plumbing Drainage Fire Fighting Irrigation.

Education: Bachelors/masters degree in mechanical engineering

Qualifications & Skills:

• 10 years of experience in HVAC Plumbing Fire Fighting Drainage and Irrigation design and supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit MEP HAP CFD analysis and BIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Chilled water systems VRF ductwork design pumps piping networks
  • Sprinkler systems fire hydrants stormwater drainage
  • Tendering contract management and risk assessment
• Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
