Project Engineer, Engineering Design & Technologists

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, managing documentation and executing engineering projects from conception through completion. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing resources, document control, ensuring compliance with industry standards and solving any technical issues that arise. The Project Engineer is expected to deliver projects on time, within scope and on budget while ensuring quality standards are met.

• Assist the PM or assigned personnel in developing project scopes, objectives and engineering deliverables including presentations.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications and project timelines.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to develop detailed work plans, schedules and budgets.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including technical reports, drawings and specifications.
• Attend and facilitate site activities by interfacing with subcontractors and engineers.
• Monitor, manage and report on site activities.
• Assist Interface Manager in the submission and approval of permits.
• Assist Planner in planning and scheduling.
• Assist PM in preparing and regularly updating status reports, risks and issues for the project owner, stakeholders and senior management.
• Regularly exchange and coordinate with all departments and external vendors to meet project milestones and assure performance within contractually agreed parameters.
• Monitor and manage project risks and issues, escalating them as necessary.
• Prepare documentation and management of risks and issues.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, contractors and vendors to ensure project milestones are being met.
• Coordinate meetings and ensure clear communication across project teams and customers.
