Job Title: Equipment Installers – Automotive Shop Equipment
100% Nationwide Travel
Summary of Position: We are actively seeking experienced installers to support automotive shop equipment installations across multiple locations. Our team performs removal and replacement (like-for-like) installations.
Job Responsibilities: Perform work under the direction of a Manager or Team Lead to assist on the job site with tasks that will facilitate the team completing building or equipment repairs, demolition, removal and/or installation of equipment, and general construction tasks.
This will involve:
- Driving a box truck or assisting with safety
- Moving equipment
- Cleaning the jobsite
- Remove and replace (like-for-like) installations on equipment such as:
- Air Compressors
- Tire Changers
- Tire Balancers
- Automotive Lifts
- Pad Lifts
- 2‑Post Lifts
- 4‑Post Lifts
- Anchor, level, and assemble equipment
- Ensure safe and proper operation after install
- Understanding of jobsite protocols specific to project and site
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Use of basic tools and the ability to install or assemble by following instructions
- Heavy lifting, standing, bending, and reaching
- Working a flexible schedule of days, nights, or weekends
- Performing the job safely by demonstrating full awareness of surroundings and utilizing proper safety techniques and equipment when necessary. Proactive in alerting Management of any unsafe act or condition to prevent injuries.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize; must follow special instructions and schedules
- Maintaining a clean and professional appearance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: These requirements are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job.
• Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools.
- Experience installing automotive shop equipment or mechanical systems.
- Familiar with auto lifts, tire equipment, and compressors.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read basic install guides.
- Ability to travel and work efficiently on installation teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time.
- General knowledge of all trades.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.
- Must have a valid email address.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess own tools (specialty tools provided as needed).
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Extremely organized.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Access to reliable transportation to reach customer locations.
- Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Ability to travel 75‑100% of time.
- Remote/Anywhere.
Physical Demands: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee may be required to:
- Move about the work site working around people and equipment.
- Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder or stairs.
- Operate tools or equipment.
- Position self to install or remove equipment, including maneuvering in small spaces.
- Frequently communicate with customers and coworkers while performing job tasks.
- Move equipment weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
- Stand, bend, reach, and climb ladders.
