AboutThe Role
A key member of the School Leadership Team, you will provide direction, inspiration and guidance to our Secondary teaching staff. Together with the Head of Secondary, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the school. You will have particular responsibility for the Secondary School curriculum and play a key role in ensuring the quality of teaching & learning across the school.
You will work alongside the Heads of Department, the pastoral team and the SEN Director to ensure academic progress and attainment are the best we can achieve for our students. You will be in charge of selected year groups and ensure their wellbeing and school experience are conducive to the highest results for each individual. Together with class teachers and the pastoral team, you will ensure high standards of behaviour and pastoral care in school.
You will work with the Principal to develop further the mission, vision and strategic direction of the school as we strive for continuous school improvement.
Able to drive excellence by valuing and developing others, you will be a qualified teacher with extensive experience of both hands‑on teaching and management in education. Experience at middle leadership level is essential and previous experience at senior leadership level is preferred. You will be fully up to date with curriculum developments, strong on leadership and people management, and have a flair for setting and meeting challenging performance targets.
Able to work with a high degree of cultural sensitivity in our changing and fast‑paced international environment, you will have the ability to use a range of communication strategies and channels. Your emerging commercial, financial, market and organisational awareness will enable you to work as part of a team that devises effective solutions to our challenges.
A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. You will also be able to meet visa‑related restrictions for Qatar including possession of a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching qualification from a face‑to‑face (non‑online) course.
Nord Anglia International School (NAISAK) serves the local and expat community of Al Khor and Doha in Qatar. We educate both local and expat students through a bespoke Secondary curriculum drawing on both the English National curriculum and the Qatar Ministry of Education curriculum. The school is focused on supporting students towards enhanced English language acquisition, excellent academic outcomes and outstanding learning experiences through collaborations with MIT, Juilliard, and IMG in STEAM, Performing Arts, and Sport areas respectively.

A brand‑new Early Years school is currently being built and due to open for students in August 2026. The Primary school buildings are undergoing further refurbishment following the opening of a new Secondary building in August 2019.
