Librarian

Librarian - Al-Rayyan, Qatar

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books and resources. Your main goal will be to promote a love for reading and learning among the library's patrons. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for literature.

• Manage the library's collection of books, magazines, newspapers, and other materials
• Organize materials in an efficient and user-friendly manner
• Create cataloging systems and maintain accurate records of all materials
• Assist patrons with finding information and checking out books
• Plan and host events such as book clubs, author visits, or educational workshops
• Stay updated on new releases and popular titles to recommend to patrons
• Ensure the library is clean, organized, and inviting for all visitors
• Train other staff members on library procedures and systems

• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for literature and promoting reading among all ages
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
• Knowledge of cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress Classification

Salary: 1500$ per month (tax-free)

Nationality preference: Indian (other nationalities are also welcome to apply)

Accommodation: Not provided (candidates should have their own accommodation in Al-Rayyan)
