Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Should be well conversant with most of relay manufacturers like ABB, AREVA, VA TECH, SIEMENS, GENERAL ELECTRIC, MITSUBISHI, TOSHIBA for their all products of past & current productions towards field commissioning testing & putting in final service.

Should be well conversant with changing trend in protection & future developments.

Should be well conversant & experienced in relay setting calculations & applying settings in the field.

Should be well conversant with all aspects of schematic drawings related to electrical substation commissioning.

Should be conversant in creating new schematics and modifying existing schematics on software as well as hard copies of electrical drawings for such drawing job.

Good command of written and spoken English language is a must. Similar qualification for Arabic language is desirable & becomes an added qualification.

Basic Principles of all types of Protections, Primary protection, back-up protection, overlapping of protection zones, protection discrimination methods, OHL (Long, Medium, Short Length), Distance Protection, Simple Scheme without Carrier, Carrier Aided Scheme all Types, Line Differential Protection, Auto recluse Scheme, Synchrocheck Scheme, Intertrip Scheme, underground Cables (Long, Medium, Short, Length), Unit Protection 87 PW, Pilot wire Protection, Intertrip Scheme, Synchrocheck Scheme, Power Transformers (2 Winding, 3 Winding, Autotransformers), Unit Protection 87T, HV/LV P, 64S, Transformer Guards Bucholz, Oil/windings Temperature, Oil Levels, Cooling Fan, On load Tap Changers Scheme, Reactors, Unit Protection 87R, Reactor Guards Bucholz, Oil Level, Reactor, Neutral Current Scheme, Switchsyn, System Scheme for Reactor Switching Closing & Opening, Busbars, Busbar Protection Double BB & Single BB, CT Switching Scheme, Trip Scheme.

University Degree - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Ten (10) years experience, of which Five (5) years must be in senior position in commissioning of protection of Electrical Plants in Subject as per Appendix - I to Schedule 'B'. Should be well conversant with all principles of protection in general & in-depth circuitry for the subject mentioned above.
