PLANT MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

Position Type: Direct Hire – 2nd shift position

Location:Akron, OH area

Salary: $32/hr with CDL or Wastewater License

Job Description:

Position performs work in relation to the electrical maintenance, construction, repair and operation of sludge pumping and treatment facility, and the electrical maintenance and operation of biogas driven electrical generation systems. Individual must have good mechanical aptitude and basic familiarity with basic diesel and gasoline engines, electronics and the ability to use or become familiar with testing equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor and maintain facility operations
• Inspect, adjust and repair electronic, electrical and mechanical pneumatic systems
• Read blueprints and diagrams
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems
• Inspect electrical components including transformers, circuit breakers, and variable frequency drives
• Inspect gauges, flow meters, and other indicating or controlling equipment
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must have certificate of completion from a 2-year electrical technology program or a certificate of completion from an electrical training program
• Must have a minimum 2 years’ experience or will consider minimum 5 years’ work experience in lieu of educational requirement
• Must have experience working in a collaborative and team environment
• Must be available to work 2nd shift
