Bakery Team Member – YEAR‑ROUND (NON‑SEASONAL) Nothing Bundt Cakes, Fairlawn

Applicants may be hired as: Bakers, Utility/Dishwasher/Bake Assist, Cake Frosters, Joy Creators/Guest Services Representatives, or a combination of these roles.
Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds. Work availability must include flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. This position is NOT seasonal and is year‑round. We are closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

The Cake Froster makes cake frosting and frosts all cakes according to established standards and time guidelines, including walk‑in guests and pre‑ordered cakes. Frosters keep the frosting station clean, sanitized, and running efficiently.
Responsibilities (examples):
- Makes cake frosting
- Frosts all cakes
- Folders cake boxes
- Maintains a clean and sanitized frosting area
- Assists guests with phone orders
- Assists other departments as necessary
The Joy Creator serves guests in person and over the phone, offering creative celebration solutions in a warm environment. Joy Creators assist the Crafting department, perform light cleaning, and some clerical duties.
Responsibilities (examples):
- Introduces walk‑in guests to the bakery and product line
- Assists guests with walk‑in orders and uses creative celebration solutions
- Suggests cake decorations, balloon sales, retail items, candles, and cards
- Assists guests with phone orders
- Operates and balances the POS system accurately
- Assists guests with punch cards, eClub and surveys
- Maintains the cake display case stocked with Bundtlets, 8‑ and 10‑cake options
- Keeps the retail area clean, swept, and well merchandised
- Performs duties assigned by the Crafting department (e.g., design pieces)
- Assists other departments as necessary
The Baker bakes all sizes and flavors of cakes according to set standards and time guidelines, maintains par levels, and keeps the baking station clean, sanitized, and running efficiently.
Responsibilities (examples):
- Bakes cakes in all sizes and flavors following established recipes
- Removes cakes from pans and packages properly
- Stores and rotates cakes according to brand standards
- Communicates with management about equipment maintenance
- Tracks inventory and communicates baking material needs
- Maintains a clean and sanitized baking area, including tables, equipment, and tools
- Assists other departments as necessary
The Dishwasher/Utility role cleans dishes from Baking and Frosting departments, maintains bakery cleanliness (floors, walls, bathrooms, shelves, etc.). The Bake Assist role assists other departments, scoops cake batter, flips cakes, folds boxes, and labels containers.
Utility Responsibilities (examples):
- Wash all pans and utensils from Frosting and Baking departments
- Clean restroom
- Keep walls, floors, shelves, and surfaces clean
- Clean refrigerator and cooler units
- Clean floor drains
- Empty trash and dispose at dumpster
Bake Assist Responsibilities (examples):
- Assist Baker and Froster(s) with daily tasks
- Scoop cake batter into pans
- Flip baked cakes into containers and wrap large cakes for frosting
- Take empty cake pans to Utility for washing
- Fold cake boxes, label containers, etc.
- Assist other departments as necessary

Compensation is based on starting position, experience, availability, drive, learning agility, cross‑training and demonstrated leadership. Additional compensation includes performance bonuses and other perks.
