Processes member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products. Scans merchandise, accepts various payment forms, and maintains the overall cleanliness of the front‑line department.

• Provide a high level of customer service to members and check them out efficiently.
• Scan club merchandise through a point-of-sale system, ensuring accurate inventory and totals.
• Assist with self-checkout stations and fill shopping carts when necessary.
• Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments.
• Issue receipts or change due to members.
• Stay up to date on promotions, advertisements, and product information; discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the front line and assist with general housekeeping as needed.
• Return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor area.
• Manage self-checkout, scan, and pan lanes; assist members with operations and technical difficulties.
• Meet cashier productivity expectations.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance as an essential function.

• Basic math skills preferred.
• Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.

• Often moving around frequently on hard surfaces, often bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping.
• Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds; heavy or awkward objects may be lifted with assistance.
• Located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises; occasional exposure to cleaning agents.

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, this position starts at $16.00. Actual salaries vary by location, education, experience, and qualifications.
