Overview

CHC is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. CHC has been a critical part of Ohio’s efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974.

We are currently looking for a Full Time Food Services Supervisor for our Food Services team for our Residential Facilities. The Food Services Supervisor is in charge of food, purchasing, preparation and serving to patients, residents, staff and business we cater to.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining a financially sound, cost effective purchase program by developing and administering accurate accounting procedures and records for proper control and management of money, food, labor, supplies and other costs.
  • Responsible for menu planning that conforms to Federal and State regulations and providing nutritional and appetizing food.
  • Maintain reports for Health Department inspections.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Food Services Management, with one year experience in staff supervision.
  • Must have HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have sufficient dexterity to handle food and equipment efficiently and safely;
    Able to lift up to 30 lbs;
    Able to work on feet for long periods of time as a great deal of time is spent on foot either continuously walking or standing.
  • Serv Safe is preferred, but can be provided after probation period.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and must pass a background check and drug test.
