Overview
Job Title: Quality Inspector (2nd Shift)
Duration: 3+ Months (Extension)
Shift: 4pm – 12.00AM
Qualifications- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in inspections, testing, and documentation.
- Quickly identifies deviations and ensures proper follow through.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Evaluates nonconformities using sound judgment and initiates corrective actions.
- Interprets data and measurement results to support quality decision-making.
- Applies knowledge of measurement tools, inspection methods, and relevant quality standards such as ISO or cGMP.
- Understands manufacturing processes, preferably within extrusion or similar environments.
- Communicates clearly with operators, supervisors, and quality personnel.
- Escalates quality concerns effectively and professionally.
- Adaptability & Independence
- Works efficiently with minimal supervision while balancing multiple priorities.
- Adjusts to changing production needs and provides shift flexibility as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work Second Shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM) and occasional weekends.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Related experience performing the duties of a Quality Inspector
- Flexibility to work 1st or 3rd shift to cover absences.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, cGMP requirements, or quality system best practices
- We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support commercial production activities in our Extrusion facility.
- This temporary position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, process integrity, and compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements.
- The Quality Inspector provides real-time quality oversight on the production floor, performs routine inspections and testing, reviews documentation, and assists with calibration and continuous improvement initiatives.
- This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication, and schedule flexibility to support multiple shifts when necessary.
- Conduct in-process and final product dimensional and attribute inspections
- Verify line clearance prior to production start-up
- Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming products
- Review production records for accuracy and completeness, including product release and Certificate of Conformance (CoC) generation
- Support calibration and equipment verification activities
- Assist with ISO certification efforts, customer quality concerns, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Escalate issues related to unsatisfactory production processes or product quality
