Cleveland Clinic Akron General, 1 Akron General Ave, Akron, OH 44307.

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00). Guaranteed

Hours:

36 hrs/week. Tentative

03/31/2025. Job Duration: 13 weeks. Number of Positions: 3.

• Weekly Gross: $2,295.00 per week
• On W2 (Taxable): $720.00 per week
• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,575.00 per week

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital. This includes administering nursing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions while closely monitoring telemetry. The RN will work day shifts, providing 3 - 12 hour shifts per week, and will be expected to prioritize patient care and safety during treatment.

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry and respond to any significant changes in patient status
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Provide patient education and ensure families are informed
• Adhere to infection control practices and maintain a sterile environment
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR system (Qualivis – Lotus)
• Complete required ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate tests during orientation
• Work every other holiday as required by the facility

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Licenses:
  Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand at time of submission
• Certifications:
  • AHA BLS and ACLS required
  • ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation
• Skills:
  • Experience in telemetry monitoring and Med/Surg care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in infection control practices and patient safety protocols

• References:
  Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, or director in the Med/Surg Telemetry specialty. Perm references required from the past 12 months
