Akron Nursing Job Details- Location: Akron, OH 44307 (Northeast Ohio)
- Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 30, 2026 – End: May 1, 2026)
- RN Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract (On-Site)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,070
- Openings: 1
- Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown nursing
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
- One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in PCU/Stepdown required
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation (2 attempts maximum)
- Willingness to work every other holiday as scheduled
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit during night shifts
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and perform prescribed nursing treatments
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulatory standards
