Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Night Shift – Akron, Ohio

Advance your nursing career with a high-demand travel Registered Nurse (RN) position in Akron, Ohio! We are hiring an experienced Acute RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a 13-week contract. • Location: Akron, OH 44307 (Northeast Ohio)
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 30, 2026 – End: May 1, 2026)
• RN Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract (On-Site)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,070

• Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown nursing
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in PCU/Stepdown required
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation (2 attempts maximum)
• Willingness to work every other holiday as scheduled

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit during night shifts
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications and perform prescribed nursing treatments
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulatory standards
