Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with at least 18 months of recent permanent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• ECG rhythm recognition test and Safe Medicate assessment required during orientation, with two attempts allowed
• Fingerprints and onsite badging must be completed prior to start date
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignments cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6 month break required before returning to any client hospital
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free policy, but a negative 10-panel plus nicotine drug screen is still required within 12 months of start
• PAPRs not permitted as alternatives for caregivers with facial hair, except with approved medical or religious exemption
• Annual and pre-start modules must be completed as assigned before beginning work

• Active OH or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele prior to contract
• Current certifications must be active with no pending status
• Must provide at least one supervisory reference in the specialty (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• Candidates cannot have any open background check cases or license issues
