Shift: Night Shift, 7 PM – 7 AM (36 hours/week)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Nurse to join our team at the Akron campus. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric patients. This unit provides care for patients with acute inpatient needs as well as overflow medical or surgical patients with a focus on age friendly care.

Unit Overview:

• 28 bed Med-Surg unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Float required to other units as needed
• Patients with a variety of diagnoses such as DIG, UTI, trauma, infection, CHF and pneumonia
• Varying levels of care for geriatric patients

• Education:
  
  BSN required, must have an accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE.
• Minimum 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• ACLS/BLS and NIH Certification Required
• Recent Epic experience within last 12 months
