Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Patient care involves medical-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Assigned to Cleveland Clinic Akron General with potential for extension up to 18 months
• Daily responsibilities include providing comprehensive care for Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessment must be passed during orientation (two attempts allowed)
• PAPRs not allowed as an alternative for caregivers with facial hair except with approved medical or religious exemption
• Badge pickup and onsite fingerprinting required prior to start date
• Annual and pre-start modules must be completed as required by specialty
• All RTO (requested time off) must be discussed during the interview
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy

• Active Ohio or compact RN license required
• Minimum 18 months of recent permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty required
• Current and active certifications required, nothing pending
• At least one supervisory reference from the appropriate specialty is required for consideration
• Must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
• No license hits accepted and no pending background cases
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return for 1 year after previous contract end date
