Internship Overview

At CHC, we don’t just offer internships — we provide hands‑on learning experiences that prepare you for a career in behavioral health. CHC is a nonprofit social service agency serving the Akron community. Our mission is to treat, inspire, support, and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. Interns become part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team dedicated to making a measurable difference in the lives of those we serve.

We offer both paid and unpaid, year‑round internship opportunities, primarily within our Counseling Department, for Bachelor’s and Master’s level students.

Beyond skill‑building, our internship program is designed to foster professional growth, mentorship, and career readiness. Many of our interns transition into full‑time employment with CHC after graduation — a testament to the strength of our training and leadership development.
