Production & Skilled Trades

The Bandag plant in Griffin has been in operation for over 45 years, producing tread rubber and retreading materials for Bandag dealers. Bandag is a critical piece of Bridgestone dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of premium retread tires. Bridgestone seeks energetic and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Griffin, GA.

• Starting pay is $33.88/hour.

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Responsible for processing work orders, data collection, and statistical analysis.
• Perform mechanical or technical training as needed to areas within the plant that are identified as developmental opportunities.
• Responsible for all aspects of preventative maintenance, including diagnostics, reporting, and repairs.
• Work alignment with and support Bandag Mission, Core Values, Quality Statements, and Plant Mission Statement.

Must possess a High School diploma/GED, or equivalent (completed and verified prior to start).

Preferred 2 years of employment stability. Preferred 1‑2‑year vocational training/associate degree.

Lifting requirements may be up to 70lbs. on an occasional basis. Lifting requirements range from a height of 3‑5 feet. Medium physical effort is required to maneuver throughout departments that include climbing stairs; in addition, a considerable amount of standing is necessary.
