Job Description
The ideal candidate will have 1+ years’ experience in mechanical assembly work. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, and proficiency reading blueprints are essential for this position.

- Assemble simple to complex mechanical assemblies per specification by interpreting blueprints and drawings while following manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation.
- Inspect parts, as necessary using the proper measuring tools. Micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Maintain proper project documentation.
- Operate a tow motor as needed to basis, operate overhead crane as needed.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Provide strong customer support as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by IPS.
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of mechanical assembly work.
- Advanced ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Well organized with an aptitude for details.
- Experience with using different types of pneumatic, electrical, and hand tools.
- Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments.
- Machining experience and knowledge is a plus.
