Area Manager, Ballabgarh

As an Area Manager in the Mixer & Extruder section of our Business Centre, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations across your shift. You will lead production activities, drive compliance, and foster continuous improvement in alignment with Goodyear’s systems and standards.
** Key Responsibilities
**** Shift Operations & Leadership**
* ** You
* * manage every aspect of your shift — safety, productivity, quality, equipment, systems, and manpower.
* ** You
* * ensure production targets are consistently met or exceeded, and you coordinate smooth handovers to the next shift.
* ** You
* * prepare and manage shift schedules for hourly associates, keeping operations efficient and well-staffed.
** Compliance & Auditing**
* ** You
* * uphold Goodyear’s operational controls and manufacturing standards.
* ** You
* * conduct Layered Process Audits and Layered Safety Audits to maintain high performance.
* ** You
* * ensure your area meets all legal and environmental compliance requirements.
** Environmental Management**
* ** You
* * minimize waste and prevent environmental spillage, leakages, and excessive resource use.
* ** You
* * promote reuse and recycling, actively working to prevent pollution and contamination.
** Training & Workforce Engagement**
* ** You
* * train hourly associates, contractual staff, and casual workers on new systems and procedures.
* ** You
* * foster a bottom-up approach, encouraging input and participation from your team.
** Continuous Improvement & Reporting**
* ** You
* * support the rollout of systems that enhance Quality, Safety, Energy, and Productivity.
* ** You
* * attend key meetings — production, safety, energy, scrap review, and training — to stay aligned and informed.
* ** You
* * troubleshoot process issues and apply improvement methodologies like DMAIC.
* ** You
* * report daily to the Auditor and Area Specialist, ensuring transparency and accountability.
** Education**
* ** You
* * hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
** Industry Experience**
* ** You
* * bring 4+ years of hands-on experience in the tire industry, with deep expertise in mixing and extrusion processes.
** Technical Skills
*** Safety and environmental management

* Manpower planning and allocation
* Operational excellence and process improvement tools
* Problem-solving and troubleshooting
