As needed, additional positions may be filled using this announcement. Salary range contains multiple steps. In most cases, the salary will be set at the starting point of the range for the grade level qualified for new federal employees. Cleveland/Akron: GS‑8: $58,350 to $75,852 Toledo: GS‑8: $55,882 to $72,644 This position is also being announced to applicants eligible to apply through Merit Staffing procedures under 26‑OHN‑‑MS through March 18, 2026.
To qualify at the GS‑8 level you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑7 federal level.
Specialized ExperienceSpecialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized Experience is defined as performing the following types of duties: utilizing computerized office automation software that includes case tracking and/or record‑keeping systems;
providing legal support related to the control and/or administration of litigation records or docketing; collecting, organizing and/or providing legal information in oral or written format.
To be qualified, you must type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5‑minute sample with three or fewer errors. (A typing test may later be required.)
