Legal Assistant​/Paralegal

We are a growing boutique law firm based in Fairlawn, Ohio representing clients both locally and across the country primarily regarding business and real estate law. Our firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal or Legal Assistant who would work closely with the attorneys and will be responsible for tasks such as drafting legal documents and maintaining case files and attorney calendars.

This position is full-time: 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
• Communicate with clients and court staff regarding case matters
• Manage and coordinate attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings with the court and notifying clients.
• Review, notate and distribute mail to appropriate parties.

• At least 3 years experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a comparable administrative role in a legal field
• Critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently while working cooperatively within a team.
• Strong communication skills with clients.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong proofreading and attention to detail

The Ideal candidate for this position would be self-motivated (be able to work proficiently without micromanagement), be organized and have strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
